If you haven't already

Read The Help! It's incredible. I wasn't a huge fan of the ending, but the rest of it makes up for it. ;)

Oof! It's been a while!

Sorry if I have kept any of you anxiously awaiting an update on my little life! I have been incredibly busy! Nathan left earlier this month for Ft. Benning, GA. He's working at the hospital for a month. He got to deliver a baby this week; all by himself! He said it was an awesome experience. With him being gone, I am finding personal time to be short! hahaha

I had my first Scentsy party last weekend and it was a blast! I made some great sales and booked three more parties! I'm having  really great time doing this, and I am just thrilled to be doing something fun.

Ve is walking now! Walking! Like a big girl! It's really incredible how much she has grown. I was at a friends house today and I held a three month old boy and I can't even imagine ve ever being so small!

... ve is calling! Sorry for the short update, but mommyhood calls!

Book Suggestion

I just came across this book on the Amazon free list. I have added it to my ever growing list of books to read. It seems to be just right up my alley as far as how people seem to perceive me from a religious stand-point. I'm hoping that it's as fun as everyone says that it is.

My collections has already started with a tea set that my grandma gave me :) They're little cups that look like tomatoes <3 So cute!

The best website that I have ever seen.

http://hereswhatyouare.com/

Honestly, it made me tear up.

Self-worth.

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill.
In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?"
        Hands started going up.
He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this."  He proceeded to crumple the dollar bill up.
He then asked, "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air.
"Well," he replied, "what if I do this?"  And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now all crumpled and dirty.
"Now who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air.
"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson.  No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value.  It was still worth $20.  Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way.  We feel as though we are worthless.  But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.  Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless.

This has been one of my most favorite speeches since I was 17. Short, sweet, and straight to the point. I refuse to let people treat me badly because I have always had a great family support system that has instilled in me a great deal of confidence. I am LUCKY. I am no door mat and I don't allow myself to be treated as one. If someone is vulgar or disrespectful to me, I simply cut them out of my life and close out their negativity. I may be cold, but I am happy because I only keep positive influences in my life.

For every person reading this, I hope that you know that you deserve only the best. By this, I mean that you deserve only the best people in your life and the best mind set. YOU deserve to be treated well and with absolute respect. Don't ever settle for anything or anyone who does not make you feel loved and trusted. If you allow darkness and disrespect into your life, then you're going to get just that.

I love you and I hope that you know that I mean every word of this.

My 365 Project

I'm getting a late start, but a start nonetheless. Anyway, I am making that blog private because I will be posting plenty of pictures of VE, and the first batch are bath time photos. I'd rather creepers and perverts not see that content.

If you would like to follow that blog, send me your e-mail so I can send you an invite!

Snow? In Fayetteville?

I nearly forgot to post these!

The day after Christmas, we woke to over four inches of snow. Now, coming from living in Northern Nevada, four inches is a decent amount... but it by NO means is "Severe Weather Advisory" worthy. You would have thought that this whole city had been set on fire instead of covered in some now! People lost it! Stores were closed, accidents left and right, and just chaos. it was kind of funny to see how wild people can be when put out of their elements. Anyway, first thing in the morning, I snapped some pictures of Nathan and VaughnEmery out in the snow.
